This policy explains what The Button collects, why, and what you can do about it. See also our Terms of Service.
When you sign in with Google, we collect your Google account display name and profile photo. We never receive or store your password.
Whether you sign in or play anonymously, we store gameplay data against an account identifier: total clicks, total games played, high score and the date it was set, coin and gem balances, owned and equipped button themes, achievement progress, the number of rewarded ads you have watched, and when you were last online.
If you join a clan, we store your clan membership and any messages you send in clan chat.
Your data is used to save your progress, show your rank on the global leaderboard, display your profile to other players, and operate clans and clan chat. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Profiles and leaderboard entries are public within the game: your display name, photo, high score, games played, clan tag and achievement badges are visible to other players. Anonymous accounts never appear on the leaderboard.
The Button is free and supported by ads. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay mediation, which requests them from partner networks including ironSource Ads, Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin and Mintegral.
These networks may collect your device's advertising identifier and usage data in order to select and measure ads. Each network handles that data under its own privacy policy.
When you first open the app we ask whether you consent to personalised ads. If you decline, or have not yet answered, ads are requested on a non-personalised basis. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → Ad privacy settings.
You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings, under Settings → Google → Ads.
If you buy the "remove ads" item, no further ads are requested for your account.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase completed, but never your payment details.
If you play without signing in, we create an anonymous account identifier for you. Your statistics are stored against that identifier so your progress survives closing the app, but we collect no name, photo or email address, and anonymous accounts do not appear on the leaderboard. The identifier is not linked to you personally, and it is lost if you uninstall the app.
Messages you send in clan chat are stored and visible to every member of that clan. Please do not post personal information there. Players can report messages, and we may review, remove or retain reported messages in order to handle abuse.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email contact@snev.dev with the subject "Data deletion", from the address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days. Deletion removes your profile, statistics, purchase records, clan membership and chat messages, and cannot be undone.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the game changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
